How to get a lightsaber in Star Wars Lego Fortnite

How to get a lightsaber in Star Wars Lego Fortnite

Lightsabers have been added to Lego Fortnite with the new Star Wars-themed Rebel Adventure. They’re not craftable, sadly, so the short answer is that you’ll get a lightsaber as a gift from Captain Bravara. The longer answer is that you’ll have to upgrade a Rebel Outpost to do it, and that’s going to take a bit of work.

Our Star Wars Lego Fortnite guide will explain how to get and equip a lightsaber and all the steps you’ll need to take to get there — including how to find plastoid and how to get Clearance Codes.

Shortly after you watch an Imperial Star Destroyer bust into your Lego Fortnite world, you’ll meet Captain Bravara.

Talk to her, and she’ll give you a pair of macrobinoculars. Use those to find your way to a cave that will lead you to the Rebel Outpost — you’re looking for a blue rebel symbol (it’ll be the only thing that pops up on your new macrobinoculars).

Once you reach the Rebel Outpost, speak to Captain Bravara again. She’ll walk you through the next few steps you’ll need to do.

Ultimately, you’ll need to upgrade the Rebel Outpost to level 6 and improve its Comfort Level as you go. You’ll need to:

  • Level 2: Clear the indicated plot of all debris, build the Rebel Farm, build 3 beds, and collect 5 pumpkins
  • Level 3: Place a crafting bench and craft 3 shortswords
  • Level 4: Clear the site for the stable, build the Rebel Stables, place a bed for Grrraaalf, and place at least one barn
  • Level 5: Defeat 10 stormtroopers and collect 20 plastoid (luckily, stormtroopers drop plastoid when you kill them)
  • Level 6: Clear the site for the workshop, build the Rebel Workshop, place a bed for Myrnna, and place a Rebel Workbench

Once you get the Rebel Outpost up to level 6, Captain Bravara will toss you a lightsaber. Lightsabers don’t break in Lego Fortnite, but they do need to recharge for about 10 minutes when you drain their energy.

The other thing Captain Bravara gives you for getting the Rebel Outpost up to level 6 is Clearnace Codes for Imperial bunkers (which are basically just caves). Use your macrobinoculars to find them, and then head inside (a lightsaber will also just destroy the bunker doors).

Inside, you’ll find three areas separated by red ray shields. You’ll have to defeat a wave of stormtroopers in each area before you can move on to the next — the third area also has a particularly nasty AWR Trooper (aka a Death Trooper).

Once all three waves are defeated, a final ray shield will open that leads you into a room with several chests. One of them — the larger, glowing, Star Wars-y one — will have some loot along with a new lightsaber.
