Genshin Impact will go down for maintenance on Tuesday, Oct. 8, or Wednesday, Oct. 9 (depending on your time zone), at the following times and will be unavailable for approximately five hours:
Make sure to burn your resin before maintenance starts, if you wanted to, but remember that the new battle pass will begin once maintenance ends, so you may want to hold some of it.

The servers may come up early or late, depending on how maintenance goes, but these are the approximate times 5.1 should go live. Usually Hoyoverse is pretty good by abiding by maintenance times. We don’t usually get extended maintenance, but it does end early sometimes!
What’s new in Genshin Impact version 5.1?
Things seem to be heating up in the story with people starting to show concern over Mavuika’s plan to help Natlan, which seems to have some huge consequences. While we won’t spoil all the details, since not everyone may have had a chance to finish the Archon Quests added in 5.0 yet, it seems like many groups have problems with what the Pyro Archon is cooking. This patch also adds the Geo sword-user, Xilonen, a rollerskating DJ who can heal and lower enemy elemental resistance.
The Archon Quest for Natlan will likely wrap up in the next patch (5.2). Ororon and Chasca were both drip-marketed for patch 5.2, making us wonder when Mauvika will join the crew as a playable character…
