When Sony unveiled the PlayStation 5 Pro in September, it snuck in another bit of news, which is that it’d begin selling refurbished PS5s — both the original disc drive edition and the digital edition that launched in 2020. After a few weeks with a “Coming Soon” banner attached to them, they’re now available to add to cart and purchase.
The PS5 consoles with a disc drive costs $399.99, while the disc drive-less digital edition is $349.99. For those who aren’t interested in the $699.99 PS5 Pro, it’s great that the option exists for gamers to get in to the PS5 generation for the cost of a Nintendo Switch OLED. Each refurbished PS5 includes a one-year manufacturer warranty, and Sony says that they may come with “minor cosmetic blemishes.”
